Choosing Wig Volume for Your Preferred Style

Volume is the outline you see, influenced by texture, length, styling and the amount of hair. It is not determined by a density number alone.

Describe the look you prefer

You might want a smooth silhouette, soft movement or a fuller curl shape. Compare photographs of the actual variation and check how much styling they show.

Keep adjustment reversible

Try arranging the parting and shape before removing hair. Thinning a wig is permanent, and more volume is not automatically a problem to correct. Ask about the specification if you cannot tell whether the piece suits your preferred outline.

Think about the finished outline

Fullness changes with curl pattern, styling and length as well as density. Decide whether you want a close, smooth outline or more visible volume, then compare real product details. Do not assume a percentage will look identical on different caps. If the information is unclear, ask before purchasing rather than planning to thin a new piece immediately.
