How to Choose the Best Wig Parting
Share
A parting changes the outline around the face, but it must work within the construction of the wig.
Check where you can move it
A lace-front cap may offer a different area from a full-lace piece. A free-part description does not necessarily mean the entire cap can be parted anywhere.
Try reversible changes
Gently arrange the hair into a centre or side part and view it in ordinary light. Avoid pulling at the knots or repeatedly heating one line. Assess the result before plucking or making a wider permanent part.
Stay inside the designed area
A free parting means freedom within the suitable lace area, not necessarily across the entire cap. Check the construction before moving the part deeply to one side. Gently arrange rather than drag the hair, and avoid repeated heat at the same point. A small reversible change is a better first step than plucking a wider part immediately.
