How to Measure Your Head for a Lace Wig
Share
Accurate measurements are more useful than guessing a wig size from your usual hat size. Use a flexible tape and the measuring instructions supplied for the piece.
Keep the tape comfortable
Prepare your hair as directed and measure without pulling the tape tight. Repeat the measurement and record the units. Circumference is one useful figure, but some suppliers also request front-to-nape and other measurements.
Use the correct landmarks
Follow the supplier's diagram for each point rather than substituting eyebrow or forehead positions. If the guidance is missing, ask before ordering. A measurement taken differently from the size chart may lead to the wrong comparison.
Measure for the supplier's chart
Use a flexible tape and follow the measuring points requested for the particular piece. Keep it comfortably against the head without pulling tight. Record the units and repeat the measurement to check it. If the retailer does not provide a measurement you need, ask; do not convert a generic small, medium or large label into a promised fit.
