Packing a Wig for a Weekend Away
Share
A little preparation can keep a hairpiece from arriving tangled at the bottom of a bag. Pack for protection and care rather than simply squeezing it into the last available space.
Pack it fully dry
Clean the piece when needed with enough time for the cap and lengths to dry. Detangle gently and arrange the hair loosely. Do not fold delicate lace into sharp creases or place heavy items on top.
Keep the useful tools separate
Take the care items and fastening accessories you actually use, with their instructions. Protect clips and combs from catching the hair. If travelling by air, check the airline's current rules for liquids and tools rather than assuming your usual kit can go in every bag.
Plan for the destination
Think about weather, available drying space and how much styling time you want to spend. A familiar routine is often easier than trying a new installation on holiday. When you unpack, inspect and gently arrange the piece before wearing. Give it a safe place to rest instead of leaving it on a bathroom surface where it may become damp.
Options to explore
These are product examples to compare alongside the guidance, not a requirement to buy another piece.
